Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Please read carefully. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of AnonyWatch. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the Service. AnonyWatch is designed for supported public or otherwise lawfully accessible content. Do not use the Service to bypass privacy controls, infringe copyright, harass individuals, or misuse personal information.

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of AnonyWatch

The following Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your access of and use of AnonyWatch.com, including our social media viewers, profile viewers, story viewers, video viewers, media downloaders, profile picture tools, public-content lookup tools, and all other related features and services (the "Service").

You agree to these Terms when you access or use AnonyWatch.

If you do not agree to these Terms, discontinue use of the Service.

About AnonyWatch

AnonyWatch offers a range of browser-based tools to help users view, organize, access, or save social media content that is publicly available or accessible in accordance with the law.

Depending on the tool and platform, supported information may include public:

  • profiles;
  • usernames;
  • profile pictures;
  • biographies;
  • account statistics;
  • posts;
  • stories;
  • videos;
  • reels;
  • Shorts;
  • images;
  • GIFs;
  • audio;
  • captions;
  • public professional information; and
  • information about other supported media or profiles.

AnonyWatch does not grant ownership rights to content that is provided by third parties.

Just because information or media is publicly available doesn't mean that it is not subject to copyright, privacy, publicity, data-protection, contractual, or other legal restrictions.

Users are responsible for determining whether their methods of viewing, downloading, collecting, reusing, publishing, or otherwise processing content comply with applicable law.

Public Content Only

AnonyWatch is based on content that is either publicly available or can be accessed lawfully.

The Service is not intended to:

  • unlock private accounts;
  • reveal Friends-only or followers-only content;
  • expose private messages;
  • reveal hidden account information;
  • access restricted profiles;
  • defeat account privacy settings;
  • bypass login requirements unlawfully;
  • circumvent authentication controls;
  • obtain passwords or security codes;
  • reveal content protected by access controls; or
  • give unauthorized access to non-public information.

Users should respect the restriction if the owner of a social media account limits access to certain information.

AnonyWatch does not state that every account, post, story, video, or other item can or should be accessed via the Service.

What “Anonymous” Means

Certain AnonyWatch tools are referred to as anonymous viewers.

For the Service, the term "anonymous" generally means that a user can carry out a lookup of public content without having to connect or log in to their personal account on the respective social media platform.

It does not mean that:

  • your internet activity is invisible;
  • your IP address cannot be processed by websites or network providers;
  • your internet service provider cannot observe network activity;
  • all third parties are unable to collect technical information;
  • you can interact with social media accounts without being identified;
  • you can circumvent platform tracking or security systems; or
  • AnonyWatch guarantees complete anonymity.

AnonyWatch does not guarantee that browsing activity is invisible.

The way in which we collect and make use of information about your use of AnonyWatch is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

By using AnonyWatch, you represent that:

  • you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
  • you satisfy the minimum age requirement applicable in your jurisdiction;
  • your use of the Service is lawful where you are located; and
  • you agree to adhere to these Terms and to the relevant law.

When you use AnonyWatch on behalf of a business, an organization, an agency, or some other legal entity, you affirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms in that capacity.

Permitted Use

AnonyWatch must be used for legitimate purposes only.

Examples of potentially legitimate uses may include:

  • viewing publicly available creator or business information;
  • reviewing your own public social media presence;
  • verifying a public profile or username;
  • conducting lawful research using publicly available information;
  • reviewing public marketing or creator content;
  • saving media that you created or own;
  • saving media when you have permission from the rights holder;
  • accessing content made available under a license permitting your intended use; or
  • uses that are allowed by applicable law.

These examples do not constitute legal determinations.

Users are responsible for determining whether a particular activity is permitted.

Public Information Does Not Mean Unrestricted Information

Information that is made public on a social network could still concern an identifiable individual and could still be covered by law.

Public availability does not automatically give you the right to:

  • republish information;
  • create a commercial database from it;
  • sell it;
  • build personal profiles;
  • use photographs commercially;
  • impersonate someone;
  • monitor an individual;
  • contact or target someone repeatedly;
  • infer sensitive characteristics;
  • use the information for discriminatory decisions; or
  • combine it with other data for illegal purposes.

Users must handle publicly available personally identifiable information responsibly and in compliance with relevant laws relating to privacy, data protection, intellectual property, consumer protection, anti-harassment, and other areas.

Privacy and Personal Data Misuse

It is not permitted to use AnonyWatch in order to invade someone else's privacy or to misuse personal information.

You may not use the Service to:

  • stalk or harass another person;
  • dox or publish private identifying information;
  • threaten or intimidate someone;
  • conduct unlawful surveillance;
  • track an individual for an unlawful purpose;
  • facilitate identity theft;
  • impersonate another person;
  • build unlawful dossiers about individuals;
  • collect information for fraud or phishing;
  • infer or compile sensitive personal characteristics unlawfully;
  • identify a person’s private location;
  • target vulnerable individuals;
  • facilitate discrimination;
  • create unauthorized facial-recognition or biometric databases;
  • collect information about minors for exploitative purposes; or
  • otherwise infringe upon another person's privacy or legal rights.

Users bear full responsibility for their use of information obtained through the Service.

No Sensitive or High-Risk Decision Making

AnonyWatch should not be used as a basis for making decisions regarding the eligibility or any other significant decisions about individuals.

You must not rely on information provided through AnonyWatch as the sole or authoritative basis for decisions concerning:

  • employment;
  • housing;
  • credit;
  • lending;
  • insurance;
  • education admissions;
  • healthcare;
  • legal eligibility;
  • immigration;
  • background screening; or
  • decisions other than those which have a significant effect on a person's rights or opportunities.

The information acquired from third-party social platforms might be incomplete, out of date, inaccurate, or misleading.

No Private-Account Bypass

You should not try to use AnonyWatch in order to get information that an account owner or the platform has intentionally restricted.

You must not attempt to:

  • unlock private profiles;
  • access private stories;
  • expose hidden posts;
  • obtain Friends-only material;
  • reveal followers-only content;
  • access private messages;
  • obtain restricted subscriber or members-only material;
  • defeat age restrictions;
  • bypass payment requirements; or
  • circumvent platform access controls.

AnonyWatch has the right to refuse any request when the content is unavailable, restricted, private, unsupported, or in some other way inaccessible.

No Credential Collection

The public-content viewing tools offered by AnonyWatch aren't designed to ask for the password of your personal social media account.

You should never submit another person’s:

  • password;
  • two-factor authentication code;
  • recovery code;
  • authentication cookie;
  • session token;
  • API secret;
  • private key; or
  • other confidential account credential

by using a normal AnonyWatch public viewer or downloader.

It is wrong to use the Service to get the credentials of some other person.

Downloading and Copyright

Some of the tools offered by AnonyWatch enable users to save media that is publicly accessible and supported.

You are allowed to download, copy, convert, reproduce, distribute, publish or use the media in any other way only if you have a legitimate reason for doing so.

This may include content:

  • created or owned by you;
  • for which you have permission from the rights holder;
  • distributed under a license that permits your intended use;
  • in the public domain;
  • that the relevant platform expressly permits you to download; or
  • that the applicable law allows you to use.

Just because a video, image, audio file, story, post, or profile picture is publicly available does not mean that it is free of copyright.

AnonyWatch does not give third parties a copyright license.

The availability of a download option does not mean that you have been given permission to download or reuse the material.

Intellectual Property Compliance

You may not knowingly use AnonyWatch to:

  • infringe copyright;
  • infringe trademark rights;
  • violate publicity rights;
  • reproduce protected content without authorization;
  • distribute pirated content;
  • systematically download copyrighted works without permission;
  • commercially exploit someone else’s media without authorization; or
  • otherwise violate intellectual-property rights.

You must get any permissions needed for the purpose for which you intend to use them.

Third-Party Platforms

AnonyWatch is an independent website.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, AnonyWatch is not owned by, operated by, sponsored by, endorsed by, affiliated with, or officially connected with:

  • Meta;
  • Facebook;
  • Instagram;
  • TikTok;
  • X / Twitter;
  • Google;
  • YouTube;
  • LinkedIn;
  • Reddit;
  • Snapchat;
  • Threads;
  • Pinterest; or
  • any other social media site or third-party platform that is referred to through the Service.

Names, trademarks, logos, and service marks associated with third parties belong to their respective owners.

References to third-party platforms are included for the purpose of identification and description.

Third-Party Terms and Policies

Third-party social networking sites have their own terms of service, acceptable-use rules, privacy policies, copyright requirements, API rules, technical restrictions, and other policies.

Those rules might limit various kinds of downloading, automated access, data collection, scraping, reuse, or redistribution.

Users must comply with all the terms that apply to their use of a source platform.

AnonyWatch does not state that any activity which is allowed under these Terms is necessarily allowed under the separate terms of each third-party platform.

If the terms of the platform, the relevant law, or the rights holder forbid a particular activity, then users must not use AnonyWatch to carry out that activity.

No Circumvention

You may not use AnonyWatch to circumvent or attempt to circumvent:

  • passwords;
  • authentication systems;
  • privacy controls;
  • platform security;
  • access restrictions;
  • digital rights management;
  • encryption;
  • rate limits;
  • technical restrictions;
  • paywalls;
  • subscription controls; or
  • technological protection measures.

The Service is not meant to be used as a means of circumvention.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • usernames you search;
  • profile URLs you submit;
  • post or media URLs you submit;
  • information you view;
  • files you download;
  • how you use downloaded material;
  • verifying that your activity is lawful;
  • obtaining copyright permissions where necessary;
  • complying with privacy and data-protection law;
  • complying with third-party platform terms;
  • complying with intellectual-property laws; and
  • the results that arise as a result of your use of the Service.

The technical feasibility of a request does not imply AnonyWatch’s approval or endorsement of the user’s intended purpose.

Prohibited Uses

You must not use AnonyWatch:

  • for unlawful purposes;
  • to access private or restricted information without authorization;
  • to stalk or harass individuals;
  • to facilitate threats or intimidation;
  • to dox individuals;
  • for identity theft;
  • to impersonate another person;
  • for phishing or credential theft;
  • to violate copyright;
  • to facilitate piracy;
  • to violate privacy or publicity rights;
  • to unlawfully collect personal information;
  • to construct unauthorized personal-data databases;
  • for discriminatory profiling;
  • to circumvent platform security measures;
  • to distribute malware;
  • to probe or attack AnonyWatch infrastructure;
  • to overwhelm the Service with abusive traffic;
  • to bypass AnonyWatch rate limits;
  • to exploit security vulnerabilities;
  • to reverse engineer protected parts of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • to resell AnonyWatch without authorization; or
  • to help or assist people in engaging in prohibited conduct.

Automated Access to AnonyWatch

You must not use robots, crawlers, scrapers, automated scripts, data-mining systems, bulk extractors, or any similar automated tools to systematically collect information from AnonyWatch unless you have our prior written authorization.

You may not:

  • create bulk copies of AnonyWatch results;
  • build databases from AnonyWatch output;
  • bypass rate limits;
  • avoid technical restrictions;
  • disguise automated traffic as normal human traffic; or
  • impose an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure.

Search engines that are acting in line with the relevant technical instructions may crawl publicly accessible pages for the purpose of ordinary indexing.

Accuracy of Public Information

AnonyWatch can show information that comes from or is connected with third-party platforms.

That information can always change.

We do not guarantee that information displayed through the Service is:

  • complete;
  • current;
  • accurate;
  • authentic;
  • verified;
  • comprehensive; or
  • appropriate for a certain purpose.

For instance, usernames can change, account statistics can be delayed, posts can be removed, profiles can become private, accounts can be suspended, and third-party platforms can alter the information that they make accessible.

An unavailable result doesn't mean the account doesn't exist.

No Identity Verification

Unless explicitly stated, AnonyWatch does not check any feature to verify that a social media account belongs to the person, company, creator, or organization it appears to represent.

Any display name, username, verification badge, photograph, biography, or other information acquired from a third-party platform must not be regarded as constituting independent identity verification by AnonyWatch.

Social Media Interactions

The information AnonyWatch viewers can access is publicly available and supported.

Using an AnonyWatch viewer does not allow users to anonymously perform actions on third-party platforms such as:

  • liking;
  • commenting;
  • following;
  • subscribing;
  • messaging;
  • sending friend requests;
  • reposting; or
  • otherwise interacting with another account.

When you interact directly with a third-party platform, it is the said platform's own systems and policies that will apply to that interaction.

Content Processing

AnonyWatch might technically deal with usernames, public profile URLs, post URLs, media URLs, or other inputs provided by users in order to provide the result that has been requested.

Processing may use automated systems, hosting infrastructure, APIs, technical providers, caches, proxies, or other service infrastructure.

The technical processing in question does not result in AnonyWatch acquiring the ownership of third-party content.

AnonyWatch is allowed to delete, expire, refresh or remove temporary processing information in accordance with operational, security, privacy or technical requirements.

Third-Party Content

Profiles, posts, photographs, videos, stories, audio files, biographies, usernames, statistics, comments, graphics, and all other media that come from third-party platforms are still governed by the rights of their respective owners or rights holders.

Just because third-party content can be viewed or processed through the Service does not mean that AnonyWatch claims ownership of it.

Third-party content might be inaccurate, objectionable, illegal, out of date, infringing, or in some other way inappropriate.

AnonyWatch has no responsibility for the creation or publication of content from third parties.

AnonyWatch Intellectual Property

The content of the AnonyWatch website and its original materials could be the subject of copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to third-party rights, protected materials may include:

  • source code;
  • software;
  • interfaces;
  • website design;
  • graphics;
  • original written content;
  • branding;
  • logos;
  • databases; and
  • proprietary functionality.

The fact that you use the Service does not cause you to become the owner of any of AnonyWatch's intellectual property.

You aren't allowed to reproduce, sell, license, redistribute, modify or produce derivative works from AnonyWatch's proprietary materials unless you are authorized in writing or such action is permitted by law.

Copyright Complaints

AnonyWatch respects the rights of those who hold copyrights.

Should you believe that particular content, a URL, a tool result, or any functionality available via AnonyWatch constitutes a copyright infringement or unlawfully enables access to copyrighted material which you own or represent, you can make a complaint by using the Contact Us page.

Your notice should include, where applicable:

  • identification of the copyrighted work;
  • identification of the AnonyWatch page or tool involved;
  • the relevant third-party source URL;
  • sufficient information to identify the complained-of material;
  • your name and contact information;
  • confirmation that you own the rights or are authorized to represent the owner;
  • a good-faith statement explaining why you believe the use is unauthorized;
  • a statement that the information you provide is accurate; and
  • a physical or electronic signature where appropriate.

Where it is reasonably necessary we can ask for further information in order to assess a complaint.

Privacy and Content Removal Requests

Should you be a single person whose public profile or content can be accessed via an AnonyWatch tool and think that the way it is processed by AnonyWatch infringes upon your legal rights, you can reach us by using the Contact Us page.

Please identify:

  • the relevant AnonyWatch URL or tool;
  • the relevant username, profile URL, or content URL;
  • the specific information at issue;
  • the reason for your request; and
  • the information needed in order to assess your relationship with the affected content or account.

When it is both appropriate and technically possible, AnonyWatch can restrict or block particular identifiers, URLs, profiles, content, or sources from being processed via the Service.

A restriction applied by AnonyWatch does not mean the content is taken down from the original social media platform.

Generally, requests for the removal of source content should be made to the platform on which that content is hosted.

Rights-Holder and Platform Requests

AnonyWatch may restrict, block, disable, remove, or cease processing particular:

  • URLs;
  • profiles;
  • usernames;
  • media identifiers;
  • accounts;
  • domains;
  • platforms;
  • content categories; or
  • features

where reasonably appropriate in response to:

  • valid copyright complaints;
  • privacy requests;
  • intellectual-property claims;
  • court orders;
  • legal requirements;
  • governmental requests;
  • platform requests;
  • abuse reports;
  • security concerns; or
  • other legitimate legal concerns.

Repeat or Serious Abuse

AnonyWatch does not allow systematic infringement, repeated privacy abuse, harassment, or any other serious misuse.

So long as it is possible to do so and the individuals in question can be clearly identified, we will limit or end the access granted to users who repeatedly breach these Terms or the rights of others.

We can act immediately when the behavior involves a substantial legal, privacy, security, or operational risk.

Cooperation With Legal Requirements

AnonyWatch may preserve, disclose, restrict, or remove information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to valid legal process;
  • comply with court orders;
  • respond to lawful governmental requests;
  • investigate misuse of the Service;
  • address intellectual-property claims;
  • protect privacy rights;
  • prevent fraud;
  • investigate security incidents;
  • protect AnonyWatch or its users; or
  • set up, carry out, or maintain legal claims.

The information will be dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the relevant laws.

Third-Party Infrastructure

AnonyWatch could make use of external technology providers in order to run certain parts of the Service.

These may include:

  • hosting providers;
  • infrastructure providers;
  • APIs;
  • analytics services;
  • content-delivery networks;
  • security providers;
  • advertising providers; and
  • other technical services.

AnonyWatch disclaims liability for interruptions, restrictions, failures, policy changes, or technical modifications caused by third parties.

Platform Changes

Social media platforms frequently change their interfaces, privacy settings, APIs, technical systems, available content, and policies.

These changes could affect AnonyWatch's functionality.

As a result:

  • a viewer that works today may later return less information;
  • a platform may restrict unauthenticated access;
  • a profile may become unavailable;
  • a downloader may stop supporting a particular format;
  • certain information may disappear;
  • results may differ between requests; or
  • it may be necessary to suspend or discontinue a tool.

AnonyWatch does not provide long-term support for any specific platform or feature.

Service Availability

AnonyWatch is under no obligation to keep the Service as it is and may at any time modify, restrict, suspend, replace or discontinue any part of it.

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted availability;
  • that every username will return a result;
  • that every public profile can be displayed;
  • that every story is accessible;
  • that every video or image can be processed;
  • that every download will succeed;
  • that every platform will remain supported; or
  • that all the features will keep on operating indefinitely.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, AnonyWatch is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We make no express or implied warranties concerning:

  • accuracy;
  • completeness;
  • availability;
  • reliability;
  • merchantability;
  • fitness for a particular purpose;
  • compatibility;
  • non-infringement;
  • security; or
  • uninterrupted operation.

We make no guarantee that the information coming from third parties and displayed via the Service is accurate or up-to-date.

Use of AnonyWatch is at the user’s sole discretion and risk.

The Terms contain no provisions that attempt to exclude any rights or warranties which law permits to be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent that it is allowed by applicable law, neither AnonyWatch nor its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, or service providers will be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages that result from your use of or inability to use the Service.

This includes loss of:

  • data;
  • profits;
  • revenue;
  • business;
  • opportunities;
  • goodwill;
  • files; or
  • access to information.

AnonyWatch is not responsible for claims arising from a user’s:

  • harassment of another person;
  • privacy violations;
  • misuse of personal information;
  • unauthorized downloading;
  • copyright infringement;
  • impersonation;
  • unlawful surveillance;
  • republication of third-party content; or
  • other cases of unlawful use of the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, AnonyWatch’s total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:

Either USD $100 or the amount actually paid by you to AnonyWatch for the particular Service which caused the claim over the previous twelve months.

This limitation does not apply where law cannot exclude or limit liability.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AnonyWatch and its owners, operators, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and reasonable legal expenses resulting from:

  • your misuse of the Service;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your violation of applicable law;
  • usernames, URLs, or requests submitted by you;
  • infringement of intellectual-property rights;
  • misuse of personal information;
  • violation of privacy or publicity rights;
  • harassment or impersonation;
  • unlawful distribution of third-party content; or
  • violations of the rights of third parties.

The provisions of this section are applicable only to the extent that they are allowed by applicable law.

Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to AnonyWatch where we reasonably believe that:

  • these Terms have been violated;
  • the Service is being used unlawfully;
  • another person’s rights are being violated;
  • the Service is being abused;
  • automated access is excessive or unauthorized;
  • activity poses a security threat;
  • activity creates significant legal risk;
  • a valid legal request requires action; or
  • it is reasonably necessary to protect AnonyWatch or other parties.

In suitable cases, restrictions can be put in place without giving prior notice.

Privacy Policy

The way in which you use AnonyWatch is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains the way in which information might be collected, used, kept, shared, or in any other way processed in relation to the Service.

The Terms must be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy.

No Legal Advice

Information that AnonyWatch provides regarding privacy, copyright, public information, downloading, social media rules, or any other legal matters is for general informational purposes only.

This is not intended as legal advice.

The legal rights and obligations depend on the jurisdiction and the specific circumstances.

If you are unsure about whether an activity is legal, you should get suitable professional advice before carrying it out.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • the Service;
  • applicable law;
  • privacy requirements;
  • copyright requirements;
  • third-party platform policies;
  • security practices; or
  • business operations.

This page will show the new version together with a revised date.

Using AnonyWatch after the revised Terms come into effect means that you are accepting those Terms to the extent that applicable law allows.

Severability

If any of the provisions in these Terms are found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or restricted to the smallest possible extent.

The other provisions will remain in force.

No Waiver

The fact that AnonyWatch does not enforce a provision of these Terms does not mean that it is giving up that provision or that our right to enforce it later is lost.

Entire Agreement

The following Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any Copyright, Content Removal, or other policies which are specifically included in them, make up the agreement relating to your use of AnonyWatch.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The laws that apply to the legal entity which operates AnonyWatch will apply to these Terms, unless mandatory laws relating to consumer protection, privacy, or otherwise require a different approach.

Prior to being published the operator must substitute this paragraph with the real legal entity, the relevant governing jurisdiction, and the suitable dispute venue.

The rights mentioned in these Terms cannot be waived by law.
